Quick Start Guide

Welcome to FluentFlash! Here's how to start learning in under 2 minutes.

Step 1: Create an Account

Sign up at fluentflash.com/sign-up with your email, Google, or Apple account. It's free — no credit card required.

Step 2: Explore the Dashboard

After signing in, you land on the Dashboard. The sidebar on the left gives you quick access to everything — My Decks, Analytics, Settings, Referrals, and more. On mobile, tap the hamburger menu to open the navigation drawer.

Your dashboard shows:

  • Recent Decks — Your 5 most recent decks with card counts and due cards
  • Quick Actions — Buttons to create a new deck, generate AI cards, view analytics, or study all due cards
  • Stats — Cards due today, day streak, total decks/cards, and study goal progress

  • Step 3: Create Your First Deck

  • Click "Create deck" from the dashboard or Quick Actions
  • Give it a name (e.g., "Biology 101" or "Spanish Vocab")
  • Optionally set a language and category

  • Step 4: Generate Cards with AI

  • Open your deck and click "Generate with AI"
  • Choose an input method:
  • Topic: Just type what you want to learn (e.g., "Photosynthesis")
  • Notes: Paste your lecture notes or textbook content
  • Select an output type — flashcards, study guide, cheat sheet, or formula sheet
  • Select how many cards you want (Quick, Thorough, or Deep Dive)
  • Click Generate Flashcards and watch them appear in real-time
  • Review the generated cards, edit any you want to change
  • Use the sticky save bar at the bottom of the screen to save — it's always visible so you never have to scroll to find it

  • Step 5: Study!

  • Go to your deck and click "Study"
  • A card appears — try to remember the answer
  • Click "Show Answer" (or press Space)
  • Rate how well you knew it: Again, Hard, Good, or Easy
  • The AI schedules your next review based on your rating
