Tips for Better AI Cards

Give Specific Input

  • ❌ "Biology" (too broad)
  • ✅ "Cell membrane structure and transport mechanisms" (specific)

  • Use the Depth Selector

Choose "Overview" for quick review, "Comprehensive" for exam prep. The AI adjusts card count and detail level accordingly.

    Paste Clean Notes

The AI handles messy notes well, but cleaner input = better cards:

  • Use bullet points for key facts
  • Include definitions of terms
  • Separate topics with headings

  • Review and Edit

AI-generated cards are a starting point:

  • Always scan for accuracy (especially for specialized subjects)
  • Use "Regenerate" on cards that aren't quite right
  • Use "Split" on cards that test too many things at once
  • Remove duplicate or trivial cards

  • Card Types Matter

The AI automatically chooses card types:

  • Basic — For conceptual questions
  • Cloze — For definitions and key facts (fill-in-the-blank)
  • Reversed — For vocabulary (tests both directions)

  • Quality Indicators

Cards with quality issues show colored dots:

  • 🟢 Good quality
  • 🟡 Warning (e.g., answer too long)
  • 🔴 Issue (e.g., front and back too similar)
